Golf update
Played Wednesday at Dunbar Golf Club. It is a true links style course. It took us a while to get warmed up, and figure out how to hit the required shots. Other than a few too many three putts we both played well. Bill shot an 83, Don shot a 76. The most striking element was the speed at which the Scots play. A difficult links course only took us 3:45 to play. Thursday we played at Winterfield. A short course that the locals play. It only took us 2:45 to play 18 holes. Even a short course in the states takes 4 hours. Bill played very well on thursday shooting a 73. Don also shot 73, but with the handicap system, Don is paying for the pints tonight.
Pictures. Sorry we are going to have wait on the picture posts. My camera hooks up to a pc,and we are blogging on an apple Ipad. Therefore we will post them when we find way around that or when we get home.
The scots are a hardy bunch. 57 and raining and the school tennis team is outside practicing, folks running on the trail, people are walking dogs and taking babies (lots and lots of babies) for a stroll. There seems be a everywhere.
Friday we play historic North Berwick then drive up to Leven
