Friday we went to North Berwick and played the links course there that has the original Redan hole. The wind blew like it does in Ellensburg, 30-40 MPH. There are three holes where you have to hit it over a rock wall. One hole you either had to attempt to hit the green just over the wall or lay up and chip over the wall. On the redan hole, Bill almost made a birdie, just missing from 15 feet. Don hit into the bunker 20 feet blow the green and just missed his 10 footpad putt A wonderful course on a brutal day. Friday night we arrived in Leven, had dinner and turned in early. Saturday we played in the Leven links open with Ray, a member of of the club, and a great human being. We were so lucky to play with him. He told us stories, and showed us around, introduced us to the club board members. Neither Don or Bill played worth a darn, but the douse and the people made for a wonderful day.
